Ashton holds a Bachelor of Economics (Economics and Pure Mathematics) from the University of Sydney, and a TensorFlow Developer certification.

Before Forecast, Ashton worked as a Data Scientist for Lendlease developing their Podium Digital Twin product – most notably creating a financial modelling Python library. He has worked on projects in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision and statistical modelling.

In his free time, Ashton enjoys music production, tennis and (tries to enjoy) golf.

Maciej obtained an MA in Economics from the University of Glasgow. For his dissertation, he analysed the effectiveness of the carbon tax policy on the transport sector emissions in British Columbia, Canada. Maciej then completed an MSc in Operational Research and Data Science at the University of Edinburgh, where his main research focus was on facility location problems. For his thesis, he presented a bi-objective model for determining the optimal location of alternative transport systems.

Before joining Forecast, Maciej worked in the energy and climate sector, collecting, analysing and visualising power sector data. During his time at Ember, he further improved the methodology used for forecasting monthly energy generation - significantly increasing the performance and accuracy of the model.

Maciej enjoys running, jugglery, refurbishing old consoles and retro gaming in his free time.

Karen is a Senior Analyst at Forecast with over 12 years of experience in desiging, building, and testing the decision support systems which help people make decisions across the Retail, Energy and Charity sectors. She holds a BA in Business Management and a MSc in Data Science, both from Robert Gordon University.

Karen is active in the data community and can often be found at meetups, conferences, hackathons/datathons, and contributing to open source projects.

When offline, she enjoys running half-marathons and has started to branch out to participating in international races.

Damian is a data engineer and holds an MSc in Economic analytics from the University of Economics in Wroclaw. While at Forecast, Damian has been working on maintenance and development of Google Cloud infrastructure for one of Forecast's clients. 

Prior to joining Forecast, Damian held various data-related positions, developing an end-to-end custom data quality framework for a hedge fund, creating data pipelines and visualisations at Credit Suisse and working on various analyses as a data analyst intern at Nokia.

Sofia holds a first class B.A. in Economics from the University of Edinburgh. Sofia’s dissertation project involved building linear and non-linear models in order to perform regression analysis aimed at answering the question of how online dating sites and apps are disrupting economic patterns in the marriage market.

Sofia has also worked with social enterprise Prosper, gaining experience in the world of ESG investment as well as building a data-informed numerical measurement system for the organisation’s social impact.

Sofia is a keen football player who also likes big walks in the highlands.

Maria holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus.

Maria has worked on a variety of python-based data science and data engineering projects during her degrees and also participated in hackathons where along with her team, she develop different AI related applications. Before joining the Forecast team, Maria worked for 2 years as a full-stack software engineer using a variety of programming languages for both front-end and back-end. She has experience on developing software web-platforms as well as pipelines for anonymizing data. She has also worked with BigQuery and SQL as well as using Dash Python to create an interactive webtool.

Izabela is a Data Engineer in Forecast. She has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Wrocław University of Science and Technology and hold the Masters Degree in the same field of study with a specialization in Data Engineering. Izabela has experience with analytical tools (mainly created in Python), cloud environments (GCP, Azure) and projects related to data analytics and machine learning model development.

Before joining the Forecast team, Iza was working with quality of the ingested data in DXC Technology. She was preparing pipelines and solutions to present the quality of the data, e.g. visualization of the data, and possible sources of problems, if it has appeared. She also worked as Data Analyst Intern in AXA XL.

In her free time, Izabela enjoys reading books, developing her expertise in machine learning and data analysis, practicing yoga and boulder climbing.

Thelma holds a Bsc in Banking and Finance from the Lebanese American University, and an Msc in Business Analysis from the University of Edinburgh.

Thelma has over 6 years working in data analytics within the Financial Services industry. A skilled communicator, her experience lies in stakeholder management and delivery. Prior to joining Forecast, Thelma has led the EMEA team within the Data & AI department, performing data quality controls and ensuring that deadlines are consistently delivered.​

Debbie holds a Masters in Applied Statistics and has built a 20 year career in data and analytics. Debbie is an analytics leader, specialising in financial services and utilities related analytics.

Prior to joining Forecast, Debbie spent 6 years with Tesco Bank leading analytics teams to develop pricing, marketing and customer segmentation models. Prior to Tesco Bank, Debbie worked at Scottish Water for 9 years creating asset deterioration models. She also has experience in Scottish Government Education analytics.

Debbie enjoys running and regularly runs local half marathon races, she also enjoys travelling and cooking with new recipes.

Alex is an experienced Data Analyst with 7 years’ experience creating solutions for data challenges within Financial Services through analytics, data engineering, and data visualisation.

Before joining team Forecast, Alex spent his time at Sopra Steria where he joined as a Graduate and worked his way to Senior Consultant by delivering effective solutions to complex problems for clients using SQL, SAS and Python.

Alex currently is coaching a local rugby team and is an avid supporter of F1 in his free time; which can be hard to find with an active dog!
